By: Abia Iris

When we talk about colors, I am sure every one of you has your own favorite colors. It can be Red, Blue, Orange or Black. Do you know that colors can affect our emotions, perception and even our spiritual and physical being? Interesting isn't it. Colors can even bring various meaning according to different culture and belief. Here I am going to share with you about colors and the meaning they carry. I'll be dividing them into few parts.

First, let's look at the color RED

Red is a vibrant and beautiful color. Red can be associated with anger, danger, warning, power and strength, vibrancy, stress and action. Red is also associated with feelings like love, passion, desire, lust and longing.
As I mentioned earlier, color can impact our emotions. Too much of Red can cause loss of temper, oppressive behavior, heat and anger. That is why we combine other colors to match the color Red. For instance, during Christmas we see colors like green, white, silver or gold to go along with Red. Red is a color that can catch a person’s attention so quickly compared to any other color.
In the cultural point of view, the color Red carries different meaning. Some cultures use red to represent joy and purity, like the Indians. The Chinese see red as something that brings good luck, happiness and prosperity. The Russian on the other hand, see red as communism. In the US, red is combined with blue and white to represent patriotism and pride of country.  Red also represents power and strength. For example, we use red carpets to welcome special and prominent guests.

Next is BLACK.

Black is associated with fear, power, evil, mystery, elegance, death, darkness, sophisticated and rebellion. Black is also associated with negativity or absence. Not everyone fancies black. To some it represents black luck and for others it is just another color.
From the cultural point of view, the western countries use black to represents mourning, death and sadness. But for some it represents pride and elegance. Like when you go for a fancy dinner, wearing black makes you look classy and elegant. For the Indians and Chinese, they see black as a negative color and they are not advice to wear black outfit for a certain occasion saying it would be bad luck.

Moving on to BLUE

Speaking of blue, the first thing that pops in our head in the sky and ocean. Blue symbolize space, freedom, imaginative, inspiration and calmness. The color blue brings a positive vibe and its cooling nature allows the mind and body to be in balance. Sit in a room that had been painted in sky blue. You will feel very calm and you just feel that positive energy flowing through and around you. Despite the positive vibes, too much of blue can also cause feelings like sadness, depression and timidity. When you are feeling sad, try putting on dark blue clothing. It would make you feel more caught up in your sadness. Blue also represent royalty. In the western country, the royals use more blues.

Special thanks to my friend for introducing me to this, she made wonders and so am I. So this is how it works, get a book, any book which is comfortable for you to write. Start your writing with "Thank you God" and end your writing with "Thank you, God". You have to write things about everything in the past tense. For example, you have applied for a job and you are waiting for their call. So you write like "Thank you, God, I have already joined the job" You gotta write as if it already happened. But this does not work all the time. The purpose of doing this where you create a positive vibe where good things have already happened and will happen if you have input your hard work. I have also ...
