K-Pop Artist Fed Up With Malaysians Mocking Her Name (Assignment 3)

K-Pop Artist Fed Up With Malaysians Mocking Her Name Pleads For It ...

I wonder what it is with some Malaysians and their mockery behavior towards others. Don't you know that the world consists of multiple languages, religion, ethnics, beliefs, cultures and practices? Just because something is different from what we know and believe, we must make it into an object of insult and mockery. Such behavior results to nothing but a failure of being a respectful citizen.

K-Pop Artist Fed Up With Malaysians Mocking Her Name Pleads For It ...

A South Korean singer and dance, who is also part of the Kpop group was have been mocked by some Malaysians because of her name. Well, her stage name is 'Babi'.

In Malay, the word 'babi' means 'pig'. But it doesn't mean you have to make it into a laughing stock. Maybe your name or a certain words can bring different meanings in other languages. And even if it felt funny, you should just keep it to yourself. Why even bother ruining people's name and reputation on social media? Would it be nice if the same thing had happen to you?

I urge all Malaysians to be more considerate with what they post and say, especially on the social media platform. It doesn't just reflect what kind of person you are but it affects the country as well. In Babi's statement, she mentioned that she didn't know about our country and because of what some inconsiderate Malaysians put her through, she is no longer interested in knowing Malaysia.

This is not the first time Malaysians have been doing this. Back 2018, Dua Lipa, a British singer and song writer was mocked by Malaysians when she used the word 'babi' to address her father on social media. In Albania, where her parents were from, the word 'babi' means 'father’. She then expressed her disappointment in an interview with a fashion magazine saying it was mean because she wasn't even using the Malay language.

All over the world people know that Malaysia is filled with various culture, religion and beliefs and we live in a diverse community but they would never in their right mind have expected such behavior. Well, now they know what we actual are. To all Malaysians out there, please, don't put the country into shame just because of your reckless attitude. The next time you decide to post something, take a minute to think. It makes a huge difference as it prevents conflict and misunderstanding from occurring. It is very important that we learn to respect people in other countries and their differences.

Gratitude

What is gratitude? Gratitude is a way of being thankful or show appreciation for and to return kindness. In the beginning, I only know gratitude as a greeting where we need to thank people for their help or time but I got to know that gratitude has much power in it. Special thanks to my friend for introducing me to this, she made wonders and so am I. So this is how it works, get a book, any book which is comfortable for you to write. Start your writing with "Thank you God" and end your writing with "Thank you, God". You have to write things about everything in the past tense. For example, you have applied for a job and you are waiting for their call. So you write like "Thank you, God, I have already joined the job" You gotta write as if it already happened. But this does not work all the time. The purpose of doing this where you create a positive vibe where good things have already happened and will happen if you have input your hard work.
