Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today announced that the Movement Control Order(MCO) which currently going on replaced with Recovery Movement Control Order(RMCO) extended till 31st August 2020.
In a special televised address, Muhyiddin said the RMCO would take effect from June 10 until Aug 31 with more lenient restrictions.
"For the public who wish to visit their parents living apart in other states, they are allowed to do so. Alhamdulilah.
"However, I ask that you please be mindful of hygiene.
"Wear face masks when you are in public places and avoid visiting congested areas when you return to your hometown," he said.
However, worldwide travel isn't allowed as the nation's fringes stay shut during the new RMCO.
Muhyiddin said that domestic tourism is allowed and encouraged.
"During the execution time of RMCO, more limitations will be loose to permit the general population to complete their day by day exercises while agreeing to the standard working systems," said Muhyiddin.
Practically all social, strict, business, and instructive exercises are permitted to continue in stages under severe SOPs during the RMCO.
