My first MCO

24 hours on a bed, anytime food, unlimited internet, no work or school, sleeps at 4am and wakes up at 1pm and no alarm for the next morning. We would have imagined having these in our hectic lives wishing to have days like this but deep down it was impossible to happen but then boom Corona came and conquered the world leaving us all locked down in our home. Honestly, these only happen in movies but then I did not expect that this would happen in real life too. Come on who would have thought that a deadly virus may come and destroys mankind. It all happens in movies, right? But 2020 made it true, might be because of the angel numbers “2020” everyone wish came true. Oh, God!

But first, thank you to the lockdown because we discovered many things especially us. Personally, my family and I really enjoyed the lockdown, I did not feel bored being at home because that is what I’ll be missing the most when I’m back to the hostel which is far far away from home. Yes, Melaka is too far away from Kuala Selangor especially traveling in public transportation is really hectic. I was grateful that I could spend a lot of quality time with my family. But sadly, most Malaysians were stuck at Universities, abroad due to working and traveling purposes. The Malaysian government took an action and brought back all the Malaysians to their homeland.

Coming back, how did you spend your lockdown? All the time on bed and munching food is it? Yes, I was kinda in that situation too but I decided to focus on other things so that my lockdown would be an advantage to me. My mother invited me to join her practicing Yoga and that is the best decision I have made in my life. I choose Yoga during this lockdown to discover myself and to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Special thanks to my mother. I don’t maintain everyday practice but five times in a week was perfect for me. Other than that, I learned cooking and baking from Youtube and food channels. Both channels really helped me in enhancing my cooking skills.

Besides, I had a small makeover for my room where I change the paint color and made my room space look bigger. I really had a “me” time for myself where I concentrate on my body and looks. Apart from that, watching television and Netflix has been my daily routine. My family and I enjoy watching a movie together, you know that is a nice feeling where you eat and chit chat with your family while watching a movie. God, I’m going to miss them. Next, I had a new interest which is gardening. My mom and I bought some flowers and planted at our garden and watering them has also been a part of my daily routine and not to forget house chores. To be honest, I enjoy doing house chores, you know when you have this feeling to see your house neat after cleaning it? It is a beautiful feeling trust me. Washing plates and keeping the kitchen clean is a must for me so that my mom can take a good rest for herself after cooking.

During this lockdown, all the students had a very new experience was attending class virtually. It has been many students dream. Yes, I heard you, finally, it came true. The amount of happiness was unexplainable. You can wake up 20 minutes before the class, bath, and have a cup of coffee rather than waking up one hour before class and rushing without having your breakfast. I really enjoy attending the class online but the only problem is line interruption. Sometimes when it is raining heavily, we cant access the internet and join the class since the video will be lagging but hats off to all the lecturers who do not give up on us and still give us lessons during the lockdown.

However, I make use of the lockdown and created some new things in my life. My mother and I have started a business where we will be selling ready-made Thosai and Idly batter. Thank the Universe that the business is going really good. Everything lies in our hands-on how we utilize our time and how we take an opportunity in every situation. A month during lockdown MCO has been gentle to me and my family and I hope it has been to all of you too. May the Covid-19 slowdown and we come back stronger and healthier.

Cosmetic surgery vs Plastic surgery

Cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery are two different things but many of us think that both are the same. Cosmetic surgery is where someone wants to adjust their facial body parts. For example, Kylie Jenner had her lip and facial cosmetic surgery. Plastic surgery is where surgery is done when someone met with an accident and they need to undergo plastic surgery. For example, my little brother had a cut in his face when he was little and the doctor did plastic surgery on him to avoid is a big mark. However, there are negative effects of cosmetic surgery which is : 1) surgical risk 2) huge financial cost 3) emotional damage 4) the risk of a procedure gone wrong 5) physical pain 6) blood loss 7) possible allergic reaction
