Jalan-jalan at Melaka

Living in a historical city is the best. You can have everything every day and where others need to travel and have it on their vacation. Melaka is one of the peace city where you can wander anytime and no one will disturb you. You feel safe. Sometimes when I am bored, I go and play tour in my own city, eating all the good foods and visiting places. So today I am going to share some must-visit places in Melaka and famous among locals, here you go :

1) Breakfast - 486 Baba Low Melaka


To all Baba Nyonya food lovers, this shop is a must to try their best to sell Kari Laksa and popiah. Baba Low is located at Jalan Tengkera, Kampung Lapan, Melaka. You can easily get there through google maps or waze. Usually, there will be many locals having breakfast there and quite crowded on the weekends. Make sure you get there early to not miss their foods. You can also try their authentic baba Nyonya kuih. 

2) Snack - Sugarcane honey drink


This uncle sells the best sugarcane honey drink in Melaka. Before having your lunch, you can have this cool drink on a sunny day. This stall is located beside Madam Kings, Melaka. You can type Madam Kings, Melaka in google maps/waze. Once you have reached there you can walk to the stall and grab a drink. It's cheap and on the go drink at Melaka.

3) Lunch - Saravana Chettinad King, Little India


After grabbing a drink from the uncle, head straight into Saravana Chettinad King restaurant as it is nearby around 5 mins drive from the stall. It's 100% halal and you can have the best banana leaf in town. The place is usually crowded during weekends, make sure go there early, have a seat and enjoy the feast. Make sure you order mooru ice (buttermilk ice) drink after lunch, trust me it is so refreshing.

4) A walk in Melaka




After the scrumptious lunch, have a walk around Melaka riverside, there are beautiful views around the riverside. There are many spots that you can take picture and you can also hang out at the cafe nearby river cruise. All the pictures could be instagram worthy!


5) Tea time - Pokok Mangga, Malim


After having a walk around Melaka, your stomach must be grumbling again. Haha, so there is a tea time spot where you should go. It is located at Malim,Melaka. You can type Pokok Mangga in your google maps/waze and it will lead you to the shop. It is very crowded and famous among the locals. You can get hot vadai, kuih, goreng-goreng, rojak and more. Their bru coffee is a must to try. And also their cendol and ABC. 

6) Dinner


Finally, I am suggesting you this shop because here is where I tasted the best char kuey tiow and till now it is still a number one to me. I used to bring my friends here and all of them loved it. See, I told you 😍 A Chinese old couple and their daughter are running this shop. I've been eating this char kuey tiow since I am 5 years old and it is very famous among the locals. You can also get fresh cakoi beside their shop. You gotta be early to this shop as their food will finish fast. 


So there goes a day in Melaka. A place where I will not be bored visiting the same place again and again. Thank you for the beautiful memories Melaka. You have a special place in my heart :)
