Vitamin C is also known as ascorbic acid is necessary for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of your body. It's involved in many body functions, including the formation of collagen, absorption of iron, the immune system, wound healing, and the maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth.
There are many types of foods which contain Vitamin-C :
1) Orange juice
2) Oranges
3) Grapefruit juice
4) Kiwifruit
5) Strawberries
6) Brocolli
7) Red peppers
8) Green peppers
The amount of vitamin C you take as a supplement will depend on how much you already get from your diet. The minimum recommended daily intake of vitamin C for healthy adults is between 65 mg and 90 mg per day.
